Abstract der Forschungsarbeit
The following paper deals with the heat distribution inside a worm gear in correlation to the amount of lubricant used to fill the gearbox. This serves to objectively assess the optimal use of lubricants and the best way to lubricate worm gears in order to minimise the damages caused by high temperatures in them. In order to make this possible, two sets of data are implemented into a program that simulates experiments with various types of gears. First, the two simulations are calibrated for a set amount of lubricant. Once that is done, the quantity is varied in both simulations equally. Finally, the results are analysed and compared with each other.
